Battlefield Acupuncture Classes at Wongu University of Oriental Medicine

Participants may choose from 2 classes:

April 15* (Sat), 8-10am or 10:30am-12:30pm

This practical, hands-on workshop is designed to teach a simple and highly effective protocol to reduce pain utilizing auricular acupuncture. Students will learn to place indwelling needles in five specific points on each ear and leave the course confident to immediately utilize this technique in their practice. This course consists of two hours of asynchronous online study and two hours onsite training at Wongu University. This course is taught by Lewis Hofmann, MD, a BFA instructor for 20 years.

*The AAFP has reviewed Battlefield Acupuncture Workshop and deemed it acceptable for up to 4.00 Live AAFP Prescribed credits. Term of Approval is from 04/15/2023 to 04/15/2023. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. AAFP Prescribed credit is accepted by the American Medical Association as equivalent to AMA PRA Category 1 credit(s)™ toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. When applying for the AMA PRA, Prescribed credit earned must be reported as Prescribed, not as Category 1.

The seminar consists of two days (basic on day one, advanced on day two) taught by John Howard, L.Ac., Dipl. Ac. He did a five-year fellowship with the protocol inventor before he started teaching the seminar. John Howard has taught this seminar for 15 years both in the United States and in Europe. The two-day seminar is approved by NCCAOM for 16 PDA Points and is also approved by the California Acupuncture Board for 16 California CEUs, CAB Category 1 CEUs for Provider #1115, Auriculotherapy Seminars, 240-413-9211 and 16 Florida CEs. John Howard also has the authority to credential government employees, including military, VA and Indian Health Services for Battlefield Acupuncture at this seminar.
