Salary Range: $110,000 – $175,000 annually

  Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at a secure correctional facility in California City, CA. Under the supervision of a facility physician, you’ll deliver comprehensive care to an underserved population while working in a highly structured environment.

This role offers the opportunity to practice meaningful, full-scope clinical care — including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient education — while contributing to a multidisciplinary healthcare model.

  Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care including examinations, treatments, and medications
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests
  • Develop patient care plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals
  • Maintain and review medical records to ensure compliance and continuity of care
  • Support quality improvement efforts and participate in multidisciplinary care reviews
  • Provide health counseling, education, and emergency response care as needed
  • Ensure compliance with state/federal regulations, and correctional policies
  • Monitor inpatient care and manage hospital discharges
  • Participate in safety audits, medical chart reviews, and accreditation processes
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • Active California NP license with training in Family Practice
  • Minimum 1 year of professional nursing experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Strong communication, clinical decision-making, and organizational skills
  • Experience in correctional, public health, or underserved populations preferred

Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Active California NP license with training in Family Practice Minimum 1 year of professional nursing experience Valid driver’s license Must be at least 18 years of age
