Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant) - Monrovia, CA
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with acute care experience in ER, Urgent Care, or Internal Medicine. We are expanding our services in the vibrant community of Monrovia, CA, known for its charming neighborhoods and proximity to the San Gabriel Mountains, offering a perfect blend of urban and natural environments. Our Advanced Practice Providers collaborate with Medical Technicians to deliver comprehensive care, from common to complex injuries and illnesses, through thorough health assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and outcome management for patients of all ages.
Job Details
- Location: Monrovia, CA
- Shift Duration: 10-hour shifts (8:00am - 6:00pm and 12:00pm - 10:00pm)
- Shifts per Week: 4 shifts
- Hours of Operation: 8:00am - 10:00pm, 7 days per week
- Flexible Schedule: Must be willing to work 14 shifts per month, including 4 weekend shifts
- Start Date: March 3, 2025
- Duration: 13-week contract
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2940 - $3160
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an APP in Emergency, Urgent Care, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine
- Graduate with an advanced degree from an accredited institution
- Current unrestricted state license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in California
- Nationally board certified
- Current BLS required; ACLS certification preferred
- Prescriptive authority and DEA
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work a varied schedule, including evenings, holidays, and weekends
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a clinical care team to deliver in-home patient care
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments and manage complex illnesses
- Perform therapeutic interventions such as splinting, suturing, wound care, and minor procedures
- Utilize critical thinking and adhere to evidence-based practice standards
- Accurately document patient encounters
- Analyze test data for diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care
- Educate patients and families on health management
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers
- Adhere to clinical and safety standards, protocols, and performance metrics
- Maintain positive team relationships and serve as an ambassador for our services
