Join our innovative healthcare team as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant specializing in acute care settings like ER, Urgent Care, or Internal Medicine. Based in Los Angeles, CA, our team collaborates with Medical Technicians to deliver comprehensive healthcare services directly in patients' homes. This role involves health assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and outcome management for patients of all ages.
Job Details
- Location: Los Angeles, CA - A vibrant city known for its diverse culture, entertainment, and beautiful weather.
- Start Date: March 17, 2025
- Duration: 26 weeks
- Shift: 10-hour shifts; 4 shifts per week
- Hours of Operation: 8:00am - 10:00pm, 7 days per week
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2940 - $3160
- Flexible Schedule: Must be willing to work 14 shifts per month, including 4 weekend shifts
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in Emergency, Urgent Care, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine
- Graduate with an advanced degree from an accredited institution
- Current unrestricted state license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in California
- National board certification
- Current BLS required; ACLS certification preferred
- Prescriptive authority and DEA
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work a varied schedule, including evenings, holidays, and weekends
Responsibilities
- Work as part of a clinical care team to deliver care in the patient's home
- Perform comprehensive health assessments and diagnose and treat complex illnesses
- Provide therapeutic interventions, such as splinting, suturing, wound care, and minor procedures
- Use critical thinking skills and follow evidence-based standards of practice
- Document patient encounters accurately and thoroughly
- Analyze test data to diagnose, treat, and arrange appropriate follow-up for patients
- Educate patients and families on managing their health and well-being
- Navigate difficult conversations related to end-of-life issues and goals of care
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and care teams
- Adhere to clinical and safety standards, protocols, and performance metrics
- Provide care with compassion, empathy, and cultural competency
- Maintain positive relationships with team members and attend training sessions
